A book thong is a bookmark that is made from embroidery floss or something simular that has beeds at the end that stay on lay over the spine of the book.  example:  http://crochetme.com/patterns/book-thong

And to answer the OP, sometimes I do, it just depends on if I have some made.  Do you need some?
