Someone mailed me a copy of Surrender by Pamela Clare.   It is really nice of you.....but, I didn't order it.  If you are the swapper waiting for this book, let me know, this one may be yours.  I ripped the paper cover off before I looked at any of the 22 mmp books that arrived today, so I have no idea who sent it.  I am getting ready for the apocalypse and I don't want to get caught without plenty of romance books to read.

As you go through your new books and confirm receipt on PBS, are there any books you're expecting that you have not received? If so, you might PM the sender(s) and ask if the Pamela Clare book was one they've sent recently.

I know you don't wanna work that hard, but there's probably a recipient out there who has a book you want who was expecting a book by Clare.

I recently rec'd a wrong book. And the other recipient decided she wanted to keep the book I was expecting! Grrrrrr. Fortunately (and rare), that book was a dupe for the sender. She pulled her keeper copy and sent it to me. She also refunded my credit to cover the postage for sending the wrong book to the other recipient.

PITA! How hard is it to check the 2nd sheet of the wrapper to verify you're sending the correct title to the addressee?

Colleen,

Before posting this I went through the paper wrappers and all the books twice more that I received today.  I can't figure it out!  everything else checks out perfectly.   I even went into lost in the mail, and no dice.  Mystery book, I guess.

Do you play in the Games forum?  Could it be from a game there?

No, I have managed to stay out of the games forum.  The one time I did, I couldn't figure out what or how it worked.  My AADD does not allow me to read long involved instructions, LOL.

Could it possibly have been a book you won somewhere, not from PBS? I have actually won books and then been surprised when they arrive.

Do you have any pending BOB transactions? Someone could have sent you the wrong book from that.

I got one recently and had no idea where it came from. It was a brand new hardcover book.  I finally figured out that it came from Goodreads for a giveaway I entered. There was no email or message or anything saying I had won this book.

I've received the wrong book twice now. Both times the books were saran wrapped over the invoice part of the label and the labels mixed up. So you could tell they first wrapped the books with the invoice part which they had correct. Then they probably saran wrapped all the their books at once.  Then they mixed up the books and labels.  Which is why I do not wrap my books this way either.

I know what you mean, Mary.  I have to wrap each book/s as I label and mail.  Otherwise it can get too dicey.  I have started including a PBS bookmark with my name with the books so if there is a problem, people can find me easily.

My romance book hoarding is coming in handy for the Out With the Old Challenge.  I have tons of 90's romances that are quick reads and worth 500 pts each.
