There was a thread some time ago that SwapaCD members can transfer their credits to PBS credits, but can find no information on this subject on either site. Did I imagine the whole thing? Can anyone direct me to the proper resource or confirm that this can be done? I have lots of CDs that I no longer listen to and would love to post them on SwapaCD if I can convert them to PBS credits. I appreciate any help you can provide!

You can only do this from SwapACD. Go there and login. Go to your My Account page. The last option on the My Account tab is Transfer Credits. Click on the arrow that goes from the SwapACD to the PBS logo to transfer from there to here.

Yes it can be done you can use Swap a CD or Swap a dvd credits here. Once you have credits earned at the other site just click on transfer credits on your account page and move them to whatever site you want to use them at.

How many SwapaCD credits = a SwapaDVD credit? Is it an even exchange? What about swapping SwapaCD credits for PBS credits?

1 SwapaCD credit = 1 PBS credit

3 SwapaCD credits = 2 SwapaDVD credits

Even swap between CDs and books.   Really easy, but only from the CD site (not sure why).

I do it frequently.  Recently coming here, but for a bit going there.

Thank you for your advice, everyone! I signed up at SACD and got four hits right off the bat for the most random and unusual CDs that I didn't think would be requested at all! Unfortunately, I can transfer all but one credit to PBS, and I don't want CDs at all. Oh well. Maybe there'll be something there that I don't know I want until I see it. Seems to happen a LOT around here at PBS!

Edie: The one credit you can't transfer is the freebie they gave you.

That freebie is for you to try out SaCD.  Not to order a book.  That's why it can't be transfered.  All the credits you earn can be transfered, they just restrict the freebie.
