Following "Copper" from the Troublesome Creek Series, this book was as good as that series..In 1893 amoung the mountains of eastern Kentucky,Cara finds herself newly married and living in a rickety cabin on the backside of nowhere. When her husband is arrested for stealing his own mule, she's left alone. As she struggles to survive, she discovers the determination and faith to survive.

Waited and waited for this book and really enjoyed it. This is a good series by Jan Watson. Highly recommended!
