This is the first book that I have read by this author, and I really enjoyed it. I loved the characters and story line. It's steamy--but the author does a lot of building up which I enjoyed and though there are a few love scenes in the end, they aren't too graphic--seem just right for the characters. Would definitely recommend the book to others and I look forward to reading more from this author.

First book I have read by Toni Blake. I am now a HUGE fan. This book was great from start to finish. There is just enough mystery mixed in with a whole lot of sex and lust and fun. Kate has loved Brock for years. After trying to seduce him, unsuccessfully, on the night of her highschool graduation, she decides the best course of action is to hate him instead. 10 years later she is about to get married and runs off to a private island to relax and prepare for her wedding. After spending a peaceful day alone on the deserted island she is shocked when Brock comes ashore - out of nowhere but her fantacies. The next five days are spent running from bad guys, trying to ignore her pull towards him and then, when she finally gives in to her desires, a whole lot of love. The only problem is that Brock, the big bad FBI undercover "guy" is single by choice and unattached by need. Now that Kate knows he is truly the ONE, she has to decide what to do when she gets home and calls off the wedding to the man she was supposed to marry.

Great story. LOVE LOVE LOVE it.... Plan on buying up ALL of her books ASAP!!!

What can I say, she's done it again. Another book filled w/danger and desire. Kat & Brock really burn up the beach and are a couple destined to be together even though what happened 10 years ago took them away from each other. I just love her books and look forward to more.

Katrina Spencer escapes to her family's private island to relax a few days before her wedding to a man she likes but does not love. She does have some doubts, but knows the marriage will help her family's money problems. But while laying in the sun, a man from her past suddenly appears on the beach...a man she has never forgot. When Brock Denton jumped off a yacht to escape from smugglers, he didn't expect to wash up on a beach with a beautiful woman. Now that danger has followed him to the island, he must keep Kat alive until they can be rescued.

I'm not sure how I would classify this book. It's a contemporary romance, then romantic suspense, and then erotic romance. It has a little bit of everything. The romantic suspense portion of the book worked the best for me. I was very tense when I read about Brock and Kat hiding from the smugglers who are looking to kill them. The erotic romance portion was well written, but became a bit monotonous after a while. The contemporary romance portions were enjoyable, but Brock's insistence that he didn't "do relationships" got old after a while. Overall, I liked the story, but wish Toni Blake had stuck to the romantic suspense theme throughout. My rating: 4 Stars.
