I'm a huge fan of this series. I own them all. And normally I keep them all. I just accidently bought two of these so I'm posting the second copy. Great short story anthology!

From back of book:
An apprentice sorcerwss must pass through the realm of the dead to gain the power to save the life of her mentor...

A young fugitive must unravel the mystery of a deadly curse or her companion won't live long enough to become a bride...

A mercenary finds herself in the employ of a dragon with regal aspirations for one of his captives...

A warrior woman determined to save her family finds that only through tragedy can she grasp her magical heritage...

Journey with Diana Paxson, Deborah Wheeler, Paul Edwin Zimmer and their fellow spellweavers through exotic realms of adventure and magic where heroic women, whether practitioners of the sorcerous arts or wielders of deadly blades accept challenges too often considered the exclusive province of men, in 22 original stories collected and edited by Marion Zimmer Bradley.
