I ordered this book because I read in an interview with the great Glen Cook that Fritz Leiber was one of his favorite authors. Now I know why. Much like Cook's fantastic Black Company series, this book has the witty repartee and excellent fighting scenes so prevalent in those books. It's obvious that Leiber had a great influence on Cook's writing style. The book includes three stories. First is The Snow Women which introduces Fafhrd. The second is The Unholy grail which introduces the Gray Mouser; and finally Ill Met In Lankhmar which chronicles the two swordsmens first adventure together. Rousing fantasy from a real master. I can't wait to read the subsequent books in this series.
