Has anybody read this series?  I love historical fiction.  I saw these at the bookstore yesterday and wondered if they are good.

I recently did a review on the Keeper of the Flame (third in the series) and I enjoyed  the rich history in it. You can read my review here. I would recommend the series because I know the author poured a lot of research into it and it motivated me to go to the Wikipedia for more info.

I have read the first three in the series: number 1 was ok, but 2 and 3 were much better. Her historical research is obvious and well enjoyed if that is up your alley. I do not link to author's websites very often, but was encouraged to do so after reading book 2. I did not read these in order and still enjoyed them. I don't think they have to be read in order, but I could be wrong.

I am usually very limited with my praise for books, but liked this series and will read the rest as they come available.
