I just wanted to let fellow PBS how much I appreciate those that take the time to read my conditions and respect them.  My daughter has asthma (smoke really aggravates it) and I have a severe allergy to mold, hence the conditions.  I am not trying to be picky.  I LOVE this site and would be so disappointed to not be able to participate b/c of health issues.

I see so many posts complaining about conditions and I know some are just downright crazy, but I wanted to give many thanks to those who give a chance to those with conditions!!!!

THANKS!!!  THANKS!!!  THANKS!!!

you're welcome!  even though I haven't sent you any books but I do have a non-smoking household should you ever order one of my books.

I don't like smoky smelling books so I understand what you are saying

I also give thanks to those who consider RCs, and don't just dismiss them and refuse to send out book just because of RCs, but instead read them and consider them when deciding to send out book.  THANK YOU to all those considerate members, I know there are a lot of you!

I always send to those with conditions and have never found unreasonable requests. I'm amazed at the number of people who say they won't send to anyone with conditions. I suspect a lot of them are smokers and are just mad that many people don't want their books, but I have also had people who need their's sent to an APO address and say that some people won't go to the trouble of filling out the proper form. How sad that they think it is a bother to send to those who are protecting our freedom!!

I've sent out nearly a hundred books now, and I have sent to people with RCs, and I have never once had a problem with it.  I am always happy to honor and respect RCs--and considering the neurotic care I take with my books, it's usually not a problem anyway :).

Like Chris - I am happy to see conditions because it let's me know what a requestor wants or does not want.   So thank you!   And you are welcome to those who are saying thank you to those of us who send when our books meet the conditions.   I never assume I will have a problem just because someone has conditions.  My motto is:  Read each condition and if my book meets it - mail away - if not, say sorry and more on.

I just have issues with those complex RC's who basically want brand new books.

I have no issues with those who are asking for health reasons. Reading is meant for enjoyment not making others sick.

Smoke doesnt affect me too much but strong perfumes do, thankfully I have never been sent a book with dryer sheets in them.  Nothing is worse then opening a book and having a strong odor waft into your face.

If someone has a condition like yours, esp if they state "Due to health problems, please no ..." then I don't mind at all.  If I think it might be ok, I'll pm and discuss it.

The one I hate are the ones that basically want just new books.  No creases, wear, anything.  I just feel like those are a problem waiting to happen.  I feel like a used book, by definition, will have some light wear or creasing, just due to normal use and wear.
