It was just a hard read, going from character to character in the timeline. did not finish it.
This is not my favorite Pete Hamill, but it is far superior to most everything out there. Most of Hamill's books are a love letter to NYC, and this is really no different. It will take a little while to
get used to the writing style of this one, but you will. I would recommend reading this to any journalism majors out there. If you want to be a writer, you need to read, and this is a good place to start.
