Have you guys checked out the Tag Cloud? I just did and was pleased to see that Historical Fiction is one of the most used. Way to go for you guys who are doing this! It makes me feel guilty for not tagging any of my H/F. I'm planning on working on it though!

I don't know how useful it is to put something in tags that's already in the subject search ... but I've been putting things like 'Sherlock Holmes' on the pastiches by other authors that I like, and 'space navy' or 'female protagonist'.

I have tagged over 500 books Historical Fiction. So I think that's like 1/4 of all the books with that tag. I have tried to tag every book I see that is Historical Fiction. Quite a task, really.

Unfortunately, historical fiction doesn't come up under a subject search, since there's no formal subject heading for it  (not one that can be manually assigned, anyway).

But, we've been trying to give some structure to HF tags here, to help us better find titles we're interested in.  That thread is located here if you've not seen it: http://www.paperbackswap.com/forum/topic.php?t=76801

Cheers,
