Let's make it easier for us to find the Jewish books we're looking for!

Too many of our books won't show up on a system search because they're not classified as Jewish.  For instance, I just finished reading The Year Mom Got Religion.  It's ALL about Judaism, about finding her way from being a purely secular Jew to making room for religion in her life.  But because the author is well-known for other reasons, it's only classification is as a Bio.

SO - if we all use Tags, it will be much easier to find these books the system doesn't ID for us!  Start by tagging your own bookshelf and WL, and then get in the habit of tagging other books as you run across them.  Soon we'll all be able to do searches that will produce some results!!

Remember that the trick is to use Tags that are already common, such as:  Jewish, Israel or Holocaust, first.  Then add subcategories as needed:  Jewish cookbook, Jewish children's, Jewish Worship, Holocaust survivor, Jewish fiction, etc...

I'm off to do my shelf!!
