There are lots of good points in the book and I'm glad to see that Tai Chi gets a round of applause. I found the following comment to be especially helpful:

"Tai chi is a particularly good way to dissipate stress for people who prefer a physical basis for promoting a relaxation response. We recommend that people go home and listen to a relaxing tape or do meditation, but many people are not going to do that. They want to do something physical for relaxation, and tai chi is perfect for them."

This is an excellent book for anyone wanting to assess their heart health. The information is presented in a very user-friendly approach for those without medical background, but it also covers a great deal of technical, medical information. The ideas for improving health are very practical. This book is a must- read for anyone with a family history of heart disease or any kind of cardiac problems.

It seems like a good book, I could just never wade through all of it. Perhaps someone else can get better use out of it.
