I just ordered this. I have used this author's other book, "Understanding the Times", which is a study of the four main worldviews. I used it as introduction in a literature course that I teach. I am not against my children reading literature that isn't written by a Christian author, but I do want them to be able to decipher what the author's worldview is and anaylyse the work that way. BTW, Sherry has some goodies on her list - go take a look. |

Hi Nina, Thanks for your order. I have "Understanding the Times" also , but I have not used it yet. I have too many books to ever get around to reading them all but I would like to order more for my daugther because she reads them so quickly. So I have been listing some I really like but do not have time for, to get the points to keep her supplied with books. Have you seen the videos and book by Francis Schaefer " How Shall We Then Live" ? They're easy to understand because he is so straighforward. My oldest daughterr is very artistic so I wanted her to hear his views regarding values expressed through the arts. I believe his views did have an impact on her and influenced the types of art projects she chose to create.
