Checking on a recent book order. It left the warehouse with UPS or Fed/Ex, one of those transferred to USPS mid route so I've been following out of curiosity. Locally, the transfer is quick and I have packages the next day. Apparently not everyone receives the same efficient service:

So I guess the question is to FedEx and original shipper as to not being able to deliver your parcel to you? Not sure of what the delivery standards might be for packages not initiated with USPS - although it looks like Chillocothe has it in a loop. |

Not coming to me, I ordered the package mailed to someone else. I'm sure it will be delivered, but it's taking longer than I anticipated when I saw the FedEx Smartpost scan. The transition to USPS in my area appear to run much smoother...they transfer at FedEx Smartpost Kent and are delivered with my regular mail the next day. |

I mailed a book to another member back on Oct 29th and this is what I see when I check to see if she got it yet::
USPS DC#: 9449010200817004755981
The address is in Washington state so why in the h*ll is it back in TN???
I guess I will go down to my PO and see if they can look into this... Linda |

Memphis zip codes start with 381-- Federal Way Wa zip codes start 981-- If there is a smear on the zip, it is very possible the sorting machines are reading the 9 as a 3 |

I always put packing tape over the addresses before I mail that way they don't get smeared. I see now that it is BACK in Washington.. So we will see...

Sounds like it might have been a sorting error (it happens), that has been corrected and is now back on track. |
