I love stories where a shy, countrified heroine is courted by a handsome lord. Talitha thinks that Viscount Chelmsford could have no real interest in her as compared to the dazzling belles of the Ton. She has too much common sense to believe he has any interest in her other than for her artistic ability so that she can illustrate the wickedly witty lampoons of society that he publishes. But as this couple spend more time together, her heart becomes engaged and she longs to master a different type of art--the art of love.
