Jornada del Muerto, if you have ancestors who once lived in this region of New Mexico between Socorro and Truth or Consequences, as I do, then this is the book for you. My father was born in Lemitar and his grandfather lived at Paraje de Fra Cristobel, at the northern entrance to the Jornada. A good mix of storytelling and Spanish/Mexican historical accounts.
