A book that's simultaneously a travel book, a science book, an adventure story about a journey into Amazonia, and a cultural examination. Not to mention Grade A literature! Mark Plotkin is an American treasure, both as a scientist AND a writer, but most of all as a first rate conservationist of the highest caliber. This is my kind of book.

Not Bad , but a little too much travelogue and side issues , at least for taste. None the less still a good read
