Ethan Alcott could not ignore the war with th South any longer. His family could do the praying. He was going to fight. Chosen as President Lincoln's personal aide and bodyguard, the young captain quickly finds himself drawn into the swirling intrigue of Washington politics. Then tragedy strikes leaving the president dead and Ethan crippled. Broken and ashamed, Ethan must come to terms with his pride and his guilt, foes ever so much stronger than the Confederate Army.

This series is really great. If you enjoy good Christian historical fiction you will love it. The books follow a family with believable characters involved in the events happening in America during their lives. Highly recommend these books
