This was the 2nd in the series and I thought it was so much better than the first! The mystery was good and the character, Jenny, who annoyed me so much during the first book, was much better in this one. It was also interesting coming from a dance competition point of view and brought back memories from my past. Very good and look forward to reading the next one when it comes out!

Second in the series and as fun and funky as the first. Jenny is a great character, down to earth, a bit reckless and a magnet for trouble. Her relationships with the supporting characters are varied & interesting. Looking forward to more in this series!

Tapped Out is book two in the Jenny Partridge cozy mystery series. Jenny is a dance teacher that always seems to be caught up in dangerous situations. The problems start this time when a friend asks her to help with his dance competition. But, somebody doesn't want her involved. Almost immediately she starts getting death threats. It's all sexy Detective Tate Wilson can do to keep her safe. While I liked the first book, I thought Tapped Out was better. It was funnier, more romantic and a better mystery.

This book is set in Ogden, Utah, where I live (well, I live in the next town over and work in Ogden). Ms. Roberts has done a creditable job of representing our city and its culture while at the same time telling a really fun story about a flaky but lovable heroine. There's a fair amount of Stephanie Plum in Jenny Partridge, though skewed in a much different way. This and the other books in the series are really fun to read.

This is the 2nd in the Jenny T. Partridge Dance Mystery series. There seems to be quite a lot of ditzy mystery heroines out there these days. Jenny is clearly designed to be another of these mystery ditz. And for this series, it is done rather well, although you can sometimes see the author making a consciously dumb choice for her. The characters around Jenny tend not to be the loveable kind, more the why does she hang out with these people kind. Sal is a great in his expanded role, looking forward to seeing more of him. All in all this is a good series and I will keep reading, although if you are a Mormon or a dance mom, you may find yourself annoyed with her take on those groups.
