The beginning was lacking in Reality, and with Protagonist's simplified response of learning of an Epic World of "Zombies" and that she was a possible food source.
(The Book is definitely YA, and as it is Light on the Horror/Violence)
The Story Greatly improves after the first few chapters into a Suspenseful, Interesting, and Entertaining Read for the remainder and majority of the Book, and even though a somewhat formulaic Romance.
Anyway, I am unsure if there will be a Sequel, and I am satisfied if its only a stand-alone.
