Teach yourself Italian is a great easy to follow way to learn the language for everyday use. It includes common phrases for realistic situations which I found to be quite useful like shopping, ordering in a restaurant, introductions, and asking for directions. The book includes two cds which allow for the learner to listen to the words to get the pronunciation correct. Short exercises are included in the book and an answer key is available in the back. This is a short course in Italian with a book and cds to prepare you for your next trip abroad or other desire to learn a beautiful language.
