Rosalie Slater goes into depth with all the information she uncovered about why America's educational system is failing and what caused it. This book documents her studies and gives a good case for returning to the educational system the early colonists had of placing the Bible as the foundational instruction guide for early learning and keeping it as a foundational book from which the person draws all other inferences. She explains how the method of notebooking was used in the colonists life as they continued a lifelong love of learning and shows you how to continue that in your home or school. She goes through the individual links on the Chain of Christianity as well as the 7 Principles on which the Principle Approach to education is founded upon. She includes letters, charts and detailed historical information about that time period while relating it to our time. This is one of the foundational books offered by the Foundation for American Christian Education to use in learning the Principle Approach.
