My niece- now 9- has being begging me to teach her to knit for awhile now. I tried once a year or so ago, and she had the basics of the knit stitch, no where near perfect of course. But then I sent her home with a pair of needles, some yarn and some instruction pages and she promptly lost the needles. I figured that meant she wasn't really ready to learn.
Lately she's been begging again. I think she may be ready, but I have to problems. I have no idea how to teach a left handed knitter, and she lives about 300 miles away from me. Any ideas on books or kits that I could put together to send to her? (I don't think her mom will have time to help as she runs an in-home daycare and is not able to knit herself)
