My absolute favorite Virginia Henley. A well thought out plot and wonderful love story between two bold, proud characters. Reccomended. Here's the full summary from the back of the book:

All men lusted for the firebrand they called Flaming Tina, famed for the molten fire in her hair -- and for the hot temper running fierce through the noble Scots blood of Lady Valentina Kennedy. Forced into marriage with the fearsome warrior of an enemy clan, Tina vowed to use her wild beauty to gain mastery over Lord Ramsay Douglas.

Women hungered to be pressed against his steely chest ... and men feared the brawn and rage of Black Ram Douglas. Ram swore he would make the defiant Valentina a dutiful wife after he had broken her hellion's pride. But the girl he set out to tame became the woman who taught him what it meant to be ardently, maddeningly, gloriously...Tempted.

This book was simply wonderful. Ups and downs and lots of plot. Slow in the beginning just a bit, but she builds her main characters well. I enjoyed it very much.

The only negative I can conceive is that, there might have been too many twists and turns, and too much plot for a single story. However I still fancy it a worthy read and a new favorite for certain scenes.

I love Virginia Henley romance books. She really can take you into history. I especially love those rugged dominate men she writes about. Here is what this book is about...

519 pages long. It took me about 3 days to read it. Her books really are hard to put down once you get started.
