Hmmm, what to say about this book? It is a young adult novel about a young serial killer who has been imprisoned for the past 3 years for the murder of his parents. He was a suspect in the murder of several young girls but his guilt was never proven. He's due to be released very soon and the officer who knows he's guilty of much more than killing his parents is determined to make sure he doesn't hurt another girl.

The other character is a young runaway with a disturbing habit of using her sexuality to get things from men. She has also gets fixated often on a man and must find him and kiss him on the mouth to end her obsession. Immediately after satisfying her latest fixation on a musician she sees the young killer on tv and is immediately hooked again.

Their lives collide and you just know it's going to end badly for all involved and the author doesn't leave you disappointed but doesn't do what is expected.

This was a rather depressing read about two young people suffering from some serious emotional problems. The writing seemed genuine enough and the motivation for both characters well done but it's not something I'd read again. Too dreary, too hopeless.
