In "Terminated", Simon Wood has created the ultimate thriller. His villain is so evil and the plot so devious that the tension becomes unbearable. There are times I wanted to put the book down because I was afraid of what would come next; but I couldn't stop turning the pages until I reached the conclusion.

I plan to read more of his books if I have courage enough.

Summary: This book is a little hard for me to summarize. Gwen gives Tarbell a poor review at work. He basically goes insane after that. He threatens her, manipulates her and those around her, and basically makes her life hell. On top of that, a man that tried to kill her before is out of jail. Another layer is Tarbell's twisted father who is dying. The layers within this book are piled on thick and twisted together.

My thoughts: I never stopped reading this book. It was a book that I literally could not put down. I stayed up into the wee hours of the morning reading because it was too twisted for me to stop and try to pick up later. This book was one of them that stayed with me. I literally couldn't stop thinking about it for a few days. Some of it was a little too close to reality for me to get rid of. On the other hand, how many women have the kind of luck that Gwen does? She is collecting people that want to kill her or make her life miserable. I think one of the quotes on the back of the book states, "It grabs you by the throat and never lets you go." I completely agree with this statement. Also, Wood does an expert job of developing characters without stopping the action. I really feel like I get to know Tarbell and Gwen. Gwen is an amazing woman, especially with everything that she has to go through. She's a great heroine who doesn't need a man to step in and take care of things. I will definitely pick up another Wood book in the future.
