Is this what your were trying to do Lisa?

Just highlight the text you want as a link and then Click on the Link Icon  (globe with chain-link) paste the URL into the box and Voila!

Yes, Rob. That is what I was trying to do. If I change the URL to read what it links to, will the link still work?

You can always highlight the linked text and then click the unlink button and then highlight it again and put in a different URL if that is what you mean.

or

If you mean leaving the link the same and changing the text, well usually you can do that; but sometimes when you put a space in the linked text the linkage is broken.  So the best bet would be to type the text that you want and then create a new link.
