Tex-Mex Cabbage and Ground Beef

1 large - Cabbage
1 pound - Ground beef
1 1/2 cup - water
1 pkg - Taco seasoning
1/4 cup - Shreeded cheese
Cut one large Cabbage in half, cut out hard core.
Slice Cabbage into 1/2 inch stripes
In Duch oven or large pot, put 1/2 cup of water and add Cabbage, steam Cabbage about 10 minutes just until soft, don't over cook. drain if need be.
At the same time, cook lean ground beef in skillet, drained when cooked, if need be.
Add 1pkg of taco seasoning to ground beef
Cabbage and Ground beef should be done around the same time.
Add seasoned ground beef to Cabbage, stir.
Add shreeded cheese to individual portons (optional)
Best when served warm.
Makes 4 to 6 servings depending on portion size.
This is a very simple dish to make. And I found that my kids loved it! It has been a family favorite for a long time.
