This is a two-cassette set of short stories written by Texas writers and read by Texas actors. Readers include Judith Ivey, Julie White Larry Hagman and Marcia Gay Harden. The stories are read live as part of a literary series called "Arts and Letters Live", presented by the Dallas Museum of Art and Friends of The Dallas Public Library. A total of 8 stories, two hours, a mix of humorous and poignant. As someone who grew up in Texas and has moved away, I really enjoyed the stories and recognized many of the places and landmarks. The cover does warn that "some selections on these tapes contain explicit language and adult subject matter," and that is true.
