I just want to thank everyone on this site (espically sci-fiers). This has got to be one of the best web communities out there and everyone seems so nice. It is possably because we are all apparently at least half-way educated (we all read, right?) but there is something else. I haven't seen any negativity or rudeness. I wonder what it would take to make this site a little more personal...I know and understand that some folks would like to remain (mostly) anonomus (sp?) but what if we were to send a photo or maybe a short, handwritten note tucked into the front cover or something? Just a thought... Any other ideas?? |

Oh. Can't do that and mail by media mail. Can put stickers on the package. But anything other than an "invoice" makes it legally first class. And our second page is set up to fit the USPS regs.

You could set up a SF&F fan club page on My Space or Facebook for PBS members who wouldn't mind giving out more personal info with their postings. |

Thanks for the regs info Emily....had no idea. Also Paul, my wife has been wanting me to set-up a facebook page (?) for a while so I may do that. |

I believe we can get away with writing a note on the "invoice". But any ads or letters are a big no no. And we do not want PBS to be in the position of being watched and inspected. Which the PO has the right to do to media mail. They can open any of it. And have been know to put books back in the wrong boxes. |

I think it would be best if we didn't do anything that could mess up a good thing....let's just keep it the way it is....I like the facebook idea.....

Some of us hang out on Goodreads.com, there you can see all my books (read, TBR, keepers, etc...) and my reviews, and the groups I belong to. I keep my link in my signature. I have a lot of friends from PBS on my Goodreads friend list too. |
