You need to wait it out. The member selected "Mail Later" which gives a 2 day grace period. Sounds like you canceled the first one right before the system would have done that automatically. The system would then have rolled your request over to the next person in line w/ that book. WHen you re-ordered..you got the same member again because their book went back to the front of the line with your cancellation. As long as the sending member is working within the time frames allowed by PBS there isn't anything you need to do but wait. :-) If they do not mark the book mailed in time the system will cancel that transaction and order you the next copy in line. |

If you cancel a request and then re-request the same book, your request goes back to the same member, who is first in the FIFO line to send the book out. The sender has a deadline after the date they said they would mail the book, to actually "mark it mailed". If they don't mark it mailed by that deadline, the request is automatically cancelled by PBS, and your request will be automatically passed on to the next sender in the FIFO line. Its really best to just let that happen. If she said that she would mail it on the 27th, than that is more than likely when she will mail it. She can print the label any time before that, you do not have to mail right after you print the label. Your request probably went to the same person, and if she recognized that you were the same requestor, she may have printed the label exactly for that reason, so that you can't cancel the order and then make a third book request from her. Just be patient and let the system work, if it's not mailed, your request will automatically go to the next person. There is no need to actively manage the process. Good luck, and I hope you get your book soon! |
