I've never read her books but they look interesting. Can someone give me some insight into her writing style, etc ..  Who would you compare them to?  Anything you can tell me would be appreciated!

Thank you Marilyn - that was great! It's exactly what I'm looking for in the way of a description. I did like Prime Suspect so maybe I'll give them  a shot. (Maybe I'll see if the library has the first one - lol)

Anyone else have opinions on this author?

I tried reading her first mystery, Clean Cut, primarily because she is a local author and the books are situated in the Twin Cities where I live. And yeah, the book jacket made it sound like a REALLY good book! (I have gotten very cynical about believing anything on a book jacket in recent years. LOL)

I got through the book, but had it not been a local author I likely wouldn't have finished it--and I have not gone on to read any further nor do I really have plans to. The writing style just seemed 'off' to me and I didn't really connect with the main character at all.

I actually LOVE Prime Suspect, but I think it was just the way this author strung words together that I didn't really like much.
