Boy was this a dog.

And I'd even seen negative reviews but somehow I still thought....it can't be that bad.

Uh, yeah it can.

Pathetic heroine, unredeeming hero, etc.   Just awful.

I'm going to post it soon but I'm feeling guilty for palming this off on someone!

I read this last week, I dont even remember what it was about LOL

.  I think C.Dodd is into quanity instead of quality as far as her writing goes these days.. I haven't liked anything new from this author is ages but she seems to be coming out with more books then ever,

Someone else around here mentioned how bad it was too.  One of the "what are we reading" threads.  I'd been eyeing it to buy but glad to hear more reviews saying I made the right decision by passing it up.

Just remember the ole saying: "one woman's trash is another woman's treasure" - I've actually hated books that others raved about, so maybe someone out there will like it. Don't feel bad about posting it - maybe it'll be like touching the hot stove - every reader has to do it for themselves to believe it's that bad...

(but hey, thanks for the warning, ok??)

I have it as well and haven't had a chance to read it yet - but I've seen negative reviews elsewhere and now your message isn't making me anxious to put it at the top of my list.

I didn't think it was that bad.  It wasn't my favorite book by any stretch, but I have definitely read worse!  It was a pretty quick read, kept my interest just enough to want to finish it.  The bank vault scene was pretty good. ;)  To each their own I guess- but I didn't hate it.

Don't feel guilty about posting it, no one is forced to order anything. Just think, maybe you'll save someone from paying full price for it. :-)

gosh that's one of many in myTBR pile! are those books linked? I have the high heels and another one with a similar looking cover but not sure if they're read in order or not..I had trouble reading anothe series of hers that I was really interested in but something about it bugged me and I never fi nished it 'close to you', etc about 3 sisters who were separated as kids when their parents were accused of stealing from a church or something and then they died.. Ithinkt here's an adopted brother too or somethng but can't remember...sigh..more books to hunt up to read I guess!

I actually liked that series with the sisters, although I've only read two from it.  The one with the "childhood love lost to be  reunited  when older" theme...Forgot the title of it, but I remember really liking it.   Does anyone remember the title to this book?

You're right, Lesley... Thigh High wasn't  the worst book out there, just very dull, nothing great about it.    Not very memorable.

I think that's the second one, Almost Like Being in Love. I kinda liked the first one, Just the Way You Are, though it borrows liberally from one of my favorite movies, "Bells are Ringing."

I talked about it in another thread and gave it a scathing review.  I hated every minute of it.  If I can paraphrase myself, at the very end, when there was a life or death situation....I was so hoping the heroine and the hero both died!!!!!!

I immediately swapped it and actually felt bad for doing it!!!  I wanted to send along a warning notice or give the reader back their credit, I felt so bad.     I didn't, of course...but I figured it was the thought that counted, right?! LOL
