Any other Hawthorne fans out there?

I Just finished the Peabody Sisters, by Megan Marshall. Really enjoyed it.  I seem to be enamored with 19th century new england these days. Has anyone read any accounts of Brook Farm?

Has anyone read any of Julian Hawthorne's books? I have not yet. I'm intrigued though; I see he wrote a bio of his parents & some mysteries/gothic fic.

I'm not normally into mysteries per se. Nor the current paranormal craze either, though I love a good, poignant ghost story.

Anyway I'd love to read any thoughts on any of the above.

House of the Seven Gables is my favorite, I also have the Marble Faun on my TBR.
