I know that the titles are obscure, but I found some old cookbooks I no longer need anymore. I know PBS loves cookbooks, but I hadn't gotten any orders for them yet. Are they too obscure? My uncle was a chef and when he passed my Gma handed out all his cookbooks. But these aren't my style!

Cooking With Great Cooks :: Arlene Feltman-Sailhac

Harrods Book of Traditional English Cookery :: Hilary Walden

Hmmm...I think the English cookery one looks interesting.  Unfortunately, I have more "wants" than credits!  Good luck with these!

I checked amazon to see if the Harrod's book is listed, which I do before requesting any books from pbs.

One of the problems may be that the book is less than 100 pages; though it's small, many folks prefer more comprehensive books.

Another thing I noticed is that there aren't any customer reviews, so it's difficult to know much about it.

The other book, Cooking with Great Cooks, is also offered at amazon. It's quite a large book, 384 pages, but the price is very low (perhaps due to obscurity). It's nicely reviewed but only by one person. Again, it's hard to figure out much about the book.

Both are English. Might be why it's not getting the interest they may deserve. Ignore snide remarks about English cooking. I've been in England and we loved the food. Ignoramuses make such remarks, not people who know what they're talking about.

I lived in England for a year, and lost 15 pounds......but taste in food is like humor, some people get it, and some people......(trying to be nice)....don't.
