I just saw someone that had 201 on their wish list. I thought the max was 200?

The max is 200 but if a wish is granted and you accept it, the book is removed from your WL.  If you then replenish is back to 200, which I always do, and then something happens (for example, sender can't find the book so they cancel the request), the system adds it back to your list, so you end up with 201 for a while.  That's happened to me several times.

But you can't add yourself to that.  So if you are at 201 and one is posted--you can't add one to your WL. You have to wait until another, putting you down to 199, before you can add again.

It happens to me a lot too.

I guess people have a lot of giver's remorse with the books I want. I was recently at 202, due to 2 cancellations from the same person.

Or they could be like me who has a habit of accidentally destroying WL books.  I had to cancel one WL order recently because I put the book on the tabel next to a container of babywipes-not realizing that a wipe was hanging over the side under the lid.  (white wipe/white container) So the book spent the night soaking up the liquid from the wipe like a sponge.

I caused a pizza sauce thumb print on another one.
