Another excellent tale of the has-been soldier, magician and now probably alcoholic 'investigator' and his part-human, part-orc, part-elf warrior female friend, who now suffers from a broken heart.

This time they are hired by their city state to ensure that a local sorcerer is elected head of the Sorcerers' Guild. But as bodies start piling up the two are mystified as to how they are going to ensure their candidate wins.

I finished this in less than a day. And I look forward to the next in this series when I can get it.
