Is there a rule about posting "deals" only on the Bazaar board? I know I'm rather new but I'm a little frustrated with one of the genre boards that seems to be "Bazaar Junior" or something. There are very, very few discussion threads about the genre. Mostly people just post "I'm looking for", "Look at my shelf", and "2 for 1" type threads. Fortunately, my two favorite genre boards have excellent discussions but the third one...it could be better. **sigh**

It can be frustrating but since the boards are self regulated there isn't much you can do about it. Try starting some interesting threads and see if you get any replies. Don't let the ones who don't follow the rules, ruin the enjoyment for you! Welcome to this great, but not perfect, site! |

Yes, there is a rule: |

You're right, but I think a lot of people justify posting that kind of information in the "wrong" place because the Book Bazaar is such a zoo. I seldom read it myself because it's just such a hassle. |

Yes, I've posted about this and several responded..I thought we were having problems in the love & romance forum but gosh-a-mighty the children's book is another bazaar..I like kid's books and went there hoping for some recommendations and it was page after page after page of nothing but deals. Now I love deals but I go to the book bazaar or read in someone's signature line if they have a deal going on...I figured if I started a new thread there it woul djust end up on the last page after all the deals... |

I contacted R&R about this a few weeks back. They said they will eventually get a thread tacked to the top of each genre forum for deals but right now they can only go in your siggy line or in the Book Bazaar. |
