This is the story of Garret, she lives with her grandmother who took her in when she was 2 years old. However as Garrett sits reading in the basement of the house her grandmother grew up in, a girl dressed in an old fashioned party dress falls down the laundry shoot. She is the exact same age as Garrett, but she calls herself DAisy. She knows the hosue but it is the things inside that amaze her. She claims to be from the 1930's Garret seems to think that this is impossible, but Gratkins seems to accept it without question. I read this book multiple times growing up. And once I was grown I decided that since I was collectiong my favorite books from childhood that this was a must have!
