Bradford is in her usual good form here. Mystery, romance, secrets and conflict in one story told as only Bradford can. I recommend it to anyone who likes any of those elements in their reading.

Barbara Taylor Bradford writes well of four women's adventures; first as students at designing school & later in their careers. She captures the characters of the four women quite well. Each has the dream to attain success, & does. However, each has an underlying hurt of some kind in their friendship. The four spend 3 weeks in Paris where they meet & face those hurts to repair & forgive each other. The four gather for the reunion of their mentor's 85th birthday party in a unique way. History, love, fashion, & design are entwined in a most enchanting book by Barbara Taylor Bradford

Replete with mystery, romance, secrets and conflict, Bradford's latest examines the lives of four women, alumni of an exclusive arts school in Paris, who must confront their stormy pasts when they are invited to attend a special birthday party. Anya Sedgwick, the indomitable doyenne of the school, wants her four favorite pupils to repair their destroyed friendship and help celebrate her 85th birthday.

I hated this book. It dragged on and on getting to know the characters and not getting to the point of the event to come where they all meet.
