This book was a little slower than I expected, however something about Dietz's style is just easy-going and enjoyable. I got a little tired of the expression "Holy cow" after reading this book, and I thought the Weight Winners club members were a bit drab. Nevertheless, I liked this book and am ready to read the next book in the series soon.
Fat Free Murder
At the weekly meeting of Weight Winners, losing is everything. Group leader, Ellie Bernstein herself has shed
55 pounds of "weight pollution", along with a cheating husband & an unfulfilling life. Now the thin woman within
is free & fabulous. Until she discovers losing weight is not only murder,it's downright lethal. One by one the group's
Big Losers are being systematically murdered. Is some jealous member of the Friday meeting a secret kiler? Could
this be a closet psycho's demented weight-loss technique-eliminate the competition? Motive aside, Ellie's got to watch
her back as well as her calories before she finds herself on the most permanent diet of all...death.
Loved, Loved this book. Ellie and Lt. Peter are so funny and yet serious at the same time. Normally I could figure out who done it. But this one I didn't know until the end. Well written. On to the next book from her.
