All hell is breaking loose in the California desert town of Madelyn. Sheep are disappearing from the hills, pets from their homes, only to be found horribly mutilated. Townsfolk are missing, their houses vandalized. The church has been desecrated, 666 painted in blood above the cross.
Caught in the grip of terror, the people of Madelyn try to make sense of the mayhem. From the strange lights and shapes in the night sky; to the secretive dealings of a nearby military base; to the Prophet's Apostles a fanatical religious group convinced the apocalypse is imminent, warnings of the coming storm are all around them. Police Chief Moss Baskerville enlists local cowboy Tom Abernathy, as they prepare for an all-out battle with the forces of evil. When, on the outskirts of town, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse ride down Thunder Road, they will bring salvation...or fulfill the Prophet's word of doom...
