What a woman Grace Snyder was! This book helped me understand life in the sandhills region of Nebraska a century ago. Grace had an amazing life an endured so much that I am ashamed of my easy life.

A good historical book about life on the plans of Nebraska in the late 1800's. The main character in the book, Grace Snyder was the author's mother and she was a remarkable quilter. Great book if you are a quilter or interested in prairie life in the 1880's.
