I've received a book in a deal. Not complaining, not marking it RWAP. It was a freebie. My question is when I opened it the cover - this is a mmpb - has a "second" cover. When you turn that page the cover is tearing from the pages. I think not sure, it's an unpostable. When I hold the book closed and look at the spine from the top down you can see a gap. Writing this helped me decide this is an unpostable. Can't complain about a freebie. Geri |

If it came from the sender's posted shelf, I would mention that it was unpostable in a PM and in the notes part of the survey. Any posted book, should be postable. You can't mark the received book RWAP, but the bad book is worth a note. Last Edited on: 6/10/09 8:15 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |

Happened to me too. Binding was seperating from the rest of the book. Didn't notice it until later. It was on the person's shelf - it shouldn't have been there. I know I fully expect postable books in deals unless otherwise noted. |

Thanks. I was pretty sure it was unpostable especially with the spine seperating. Now that I think of it, yes it was on their shelf. I'm gonna let her know. As I said not for a credit or any trouble just to let her know about the condition. She was on the new side. Geri |

I guess it's just me... but if it's a book that I want to read... I don't care if I have to rebind it or staple it together myself. Heck I'll even keep the pages loose. I dont care. I'll read anything! |

Being accepting of any condition as long as it's a book you want to read is fine, but that's not the standard that PBS has set up for the FIFO system books. A copy like that should only be offered in the BB with a description of the book's problems. That way whoever is willing to spend a credit on it is aware up front of what they're getting. Ruth |
