Meep the mouse is the much-loved adopted son of the Amazing Monkey Family, who are great trapeze artists, but Meep is too scared to swing out "far and fearlessly." Then, after his family is captured and sent as performers to the King of Bim, Meep finds the courage to save Mia, princess of Bim, and rescue his family. This is a sweet story with above-average illustrations in strong blue and green tones, and it wins points for its no-big-deal depiction of an Indian royal family.
