Hi Guys, I really need a hand here.

I think it was about two years ago. I read a vampire novel about a female scientist, at least I think she was, who was working on some kind of blood related antigen? When she leaves her office she is attacked by vampires and rescued by a vampire. Of course she does not know her rescuer is a vampire, lol. After taking her to his home for her protection, which he shares with other vamps, they develop a relationship of course. A female vamp in the house tries to sabotage their relationship. The she vamp ends up going to the enemy camp toward the end of the story, but they end up helping the good guys in the end. I wish I could remember more. I do remember it being a really hot book. It could have been an Ellora Cave book, I do read those sometimes, but I thought it was a regular paperback. I really liked this story a lot and it's been driving me crazy trying to find this book. I can't promise any prizes to anyone who can name the title and author, but I'll certainly give you the title of Vampire Expert, lol.

******the first one to figure out what book this is get's one free book from my posted book pile  =)

Thanks to All,
Vampaholic/ Pam

Is it the Blood Ties series from Jennifer Armintrout?

I read the first Armintrout book and I don't think that was it. Wasn't she attacked in her hospital where she worked? Maybe it was Maggie Shayne's 'Wings of the Night' series--I call them the 'Twilight Series.'  I read them all so I can't remember any particular one.

Blood Ties 1 is in a morgue.

The two groups of vamps with a group house makes me think of Kerrelyn Sparks...

Check out this vamp book review site.

Is it Christine Feehan, one of her Dark Series Books.  She is part Vampire (actually carpathian) and is rescued by a carpathian who hunts vampires.  I am not sure which book.  Maybe Dark Desire?

Am I right?

Thanks for the Link Emilycat, I'll be spending some time there =)

The book I'm looking for was def not one of the Dark series by Christine Feehan, I'm intimately familiar with them all, lol.

I don't think it was Kerrilyn Sparks but I plan to do  some checking.

Thanks for all the feedback..

I'm gonna keep trying.....

Thanks Guys,

Vampaholic.

There is another site that might be helpful.  Try looking in www.librarything.com

It might have the book you are trying to locate.

Is it the Darkyn series by Lynn Viehl. I have never read the first one but from what I have read with the latest two books in the series it sounds like it could be Alex's story. http://www.paperbackswap.com/book/details/9780451214775-If+Angels+Burn+Darkyn+Bk+1 I know in the later books she is working on a "cure" for them and is trying to figure out how they are what they are. I even think that she was kidnapped by the head guy Richard at one point.

i don't think it's the Kerrelyn Sparks - it sounds a little like the plot of one of them, but the woman rescued was a dentist, and there's certainly not anything in them hot enough to make anyone think it was Ellora's Cave.

no idea what it might be though.

Nope, not a Darkyn book, I've read all of those except the newest one and this is a book I read two years ago.  I'll check out the link tho--thanks Wendeline.  I've actually been looking for this book for a long time.  By the way, you guy's are way faster than the amazon.com forum, lol

Thanks again to all,

Pam

It sounds like the plot to  HOw to Marry a Millionaire Vampire by Karelyn Sparks. But like someone posted above, the vampire was the blood scientist and she was a dentist, he was seeking to fix his fang he broke off. Otherwise, everything sounds the same.

it also reminds me of I Hunger for You by Susan Sizemore, just a little different

Mia Luchese comes from a long line of vampire hunters but has never believed in the supernatural. When she's attacked by vampires, though, Mia must accept her family's dark legacy. What she doesn't know is that sexy S.W.A.T. team leader Colin Foxe, her rescuer and former lover, is also a vampire.

Colin doesn't want to mate with a mere mortal, but his attraction to Mia is blistering. To get to the bottom of the attack on her, he is forced to reveal his real identity -- and Mia hers. But a generations-old battle that should rip them apart cannot break the bond that has their souls hungering for an eternity of ecstasy in each other's arms....

I think this was the first book in the Twilight series by Maggie Shane.  It kind of sounds like the Belladona antigen she always mentioned in the series.

Scratch that, I don't think that is the book.  He lived alone.

I know it wasn't maggie Shayne's twilight, I've read most of those too.  The herione was the scientist.  She's working on a cure for some blood disease that unknown to her would "cure" vampires too, but they don't want to be cured.  So the rogue vampires try to kill her to prevent this cure from coming out.  When they attack her she is rescued by one of the good guy vamps....this Plus my earlier post is all I remember.

def not Maggie Shayne, Lynne Viehl, Kerrilyn Sparks, Susan Sizemore or Christine Feehan.  I've read all, or most of those.  Sparks I've only read one or two, but I've checked them out and they don't fit the description.

Thanks for all the input......

I'm not ready to give up, lol

Nope.  I checked that one out as others have thought that might be it too.  I am now interested in reading One with the Night, lol, but that wasn't it.

Added:  One with the Night is a historical, this was a modern day story which is what I prefer....but I read a short story by this author and I liked it so I might just give it a try =)

Did someone guess it yet?   Because I think it is Secret Thirst by Evangeline Anderson.  Ellora's Cave.  Check this out:

Secret Thirst

If you've never read this author, she's great.  I love, Love, LOVE Dangerous Cravings by her, and Planet X.

OOOOh, that one does look good, and I've read one other book by this author and liked it a lot.  But, unfortunately, that's not it.  I don't think it was an Ellora Cave book.  It was pretty steamy, but not official "erotica".    I now have my local Annies book store in on this and I refuse to give up, lol.

Thanks for all the input  =)

Happy Holidays,
