I read a part of book a while back but can't remember the title or author. I stopped reading when another book that I really wanted to read came in and now I want to go back and finish it, but I can't figure out what it is by looking through mount TBR. It's a contemporary comedy romance. I don't remember a whole lot, but here goes...

The woman is moving back to her hometown for some reason (property inheritance maybe?). She is infamous there because of being caught naked on prom night (I think) with the hero by the entire school. She left town the next day and hasn't been back. She is broke but is driving her convertible and wearing a short skirt and heels because she wants to come back to town with a bang. When she pulls into town she stops at the grocery store and see's the hero who she used to know. I think he is a cop now? Somehow her high heel breaks or she falls or something and winds up with her head in the heros lap in front of all the people in the store.

Does any of this opening sound familiar?

nope but sounds like something I'll either order or dig through mt tbr to find when we discover what book it is! I thought at first it might be Patti Berg since I have some of hers in my tbr and that's the kind of description I'd order..trying tothink who writes funny contemp - Crusie, Gibson..gosh it's late and my brain's frozen...

I'm pretty sure the book is "She Drives Me Crazy" by Leslie Kelly.

oops don't have that one..I have another by that author though...now gonna have to check it out!
