I could not get excited enough by this book to continue on under the onslaught of Peake's ponderous writing and longwinded, convoluted characterizations. Some of my friends say it is good, but it is definitely not for the fainthearted. Something best read on a cold wet day when sitting by a fire in an overstuffed chair with all the time in the world and a good hot cup of tea.
