Ok, So I read All Together Dead today (always a good day when I'm reading Sookie!) and I feel like I missed something.  What exactly happened there at the end that separates her from Quinn?  Is it just that she's freaked out because of what he did to Andre on her behalf?  I guess I just kind of lost the thread there- so Barry was ok going home on the plane but not Sookie- so is she trying to hide or what?  Is she having another "I'm not going to hang around vamps" thing or what?  It seemed like she and Quinn were cool after the incident with Eric and getting closer and then all of the sudden it's not happening?

Share your thoughts!!!!!

This is what I recall.  Barry has protection from the vamps of his region.  Sookie is suddenly aware that she really doesn't have any protection and that she might be too noticable, both to vamps, the anti vamps, and to law inforcement.  She realizes that the queen set up some of the murders as an alibi.  Knowing that puts her at risk, as well as knowing what Quinn did.   Going to openly visit Quinn in the hospital would remind the law inforcement folks of her ability.  Which would totally change her life as she would be called to do alot of rescue work.  It dawns on her that all of this was what Claudine warned her about when the fairy said for her to not go to the conference.  Sookie realizes all of this in about two pages while talking to Barry and the demon lawyer.

In the next book, the reason that Quinn does not come after her is revealed.  Sookie left, thinking Quinn would come after her, at least to get the car.  But this was also a bit too much for the stage that their relationship was at.  Kinda like how getting too expensive of a present makes one rethink the whole relationship.

You know, I didn't get it either.  I ended up rereading the whole series, books 1 to 8, last weekend.  And still, Emily's explaination helped!  I read the debate on another discussion about who Sookie should pick -Eric, Bill, Quinn, Alcide or Dean Sam.  And now I get what kept her from picking Quinn, besides the problem of coming second with his family problems.  Could you imagine having a Bengal Tiger to play with!!!!!
